Leave me breathless

Writing is one of the weakest parts of teaching English as a foreign language. He listened to this song a few days ago on the radio and a decided to make ma students listen to it, read some about it and eventually answer a few questions.

Go on, go on, leave me breathless
Come on, yeah, yeah
The daylight's fading slowly
But time with you is standing still
I'm waiting for you only
The slightest touch and I feel weak
I cannot lie
From you I cannot hide
And I'm losing the will to try
Can't hide it (can't hide it)
Can't fight it (can't fight it)

So go on, go on, come on leave me breathless
Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny
This lovin' feeling
Make me long for you kiss, go on, go on
Yeah, come on

And if there's no tomorrow
And all we have is here and now
I'm happy just to have you
You're all the love I need somehow
It's like a dream
Although I'm not asleep
And I never want to wake up
Don't lose it (don't lose it)
Don't leave it (don't leave it)

So go on, go on, come on leave me breathless
Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny
This lovin' feeling
Make me long for you kiss, go on, go on
Yeah, come on

And I can't lie
From you I cannot hide
And I lost my will to try
Can't hide it (can't hide it)
Can't fight it (can't fight it)

So go on, go on, come on leave me breathless
Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny
This lovin' feeling
Make me long for you kiss
Go on, go on, come on leave me breathless
Go on, go on, come on leave me breathless
Go on, go on, come on leave me breathless
Go on, go on

★The Corrs are a Celtic folk rock group from Dundalk, Ireland. The group consists of the Corr siblings: Andrea (lead vocals, tin whistle); Sharon (violin, vocals); Caroline (drums, percussion, bodhrán, vocals); and Jim (guitar, keyboards, vocals).
Borrowed Heaven placed heavier emphasis on guitars, while retaining the original folk rock genre.Home is a traditional Irish album, where the band covered many traditional Irish songs. The album contained songs from different eras of Irish music. It included a 1,000-year-old song called "Return to Fingal" and "Old Town", a 1982 song written by the late Phil Lynott.
The Corrs' main influences were their parents who were musicians and encouraged them to learn instruments. They drew inspiration from musicians such as The Eagles, The Police, The Carpenters, Simon and Garfunkel and Fleetwood Mac, which Sharon said in an interview with CNN is the reason "our songs are very, very melodic and [harmonious]".

The Corrs is a group formed by four brothers: Andrea Corr, Sharon, Caroline and Jim. Children whose parents are musicians, so take this art in the blood. They grew up in Dundalk, County Louth (Ireland), bordering Northern Ireland. Since very young, it was clear that what they liked best was making music, and so thought to do a group including four was a great idea. His music is a mix of traditional Irish music, pop and Celtic music, and even some modern rock and some folk d.

The Corrs The group was formed in 1990, although his first album not recorded until five years later. Shortly after forming the band met John Hughes (his future manager), who was looking for musicians to participate in the film "The Commitens" by Alan Parker. Some time later, Jean Kennedy Smith (U.S. Ambassador heard them play at a venue in Dublin, and was pleasantly surprised, going so far as to offer an invitation to play at a celebration of the World Cup, which would take place in Boston. The four brothers did not hesitate, and accepted immediately, as it was a great opportunity to be released in America.

In Boston the same story is repeated in Dublin, only this time the protagonist is senior vice president of Atlantic Records, Jason Flom. The vice president told they were to speak with David Foster, vice president and producer at Atlantic. In those days, David was working with Forgiven, Not Forgotten "was released in 1995. This album reached the two million copies sold worldwide, being certified gold in Canada, France, Norway and Japan, also was eight times platinum in Ireland and Australia (unheard of in the latter), and double platinum in Spain, New Zealand and Denmark. In this way, The Corrs and had become famous, and only with his first record.

In 2001 Corr married Belfast barrister Gavin Bonnar. They met when she was shooting the video for "Runaway". They had their first child, a boy named Cathal (Cal) Robert Gerard Bonnar, on 31 March 2006. Corr gave birth to their second child, a girl named Flori Jean Elizabeth Bonnar on the 18 July 2007.

Caroline married Frank Woods, her boyfriend of many years, in August 2002, in Majorca, Spain. Their first child, Jake, was born on 12 February 2003, and was joined by a second baby Georgina on 11 October 2004, which led to her taking some time off from the band's activities. On 1 December 2006, Caroline gave birth to a baby girl, the couple's third child, named Rihann.

Corr is married to Brett Desmond, son of billionaire Dermot Desmond. They married in St Joseph's Church in Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Ireland on 21 August 2009[53] Sharon Corr and Caroline Corr sang No Frontiers at the wedding, and Damien Dempsey, Sharon Shannon and Seamus Begley also performed on stage in the church as did Andrea herself.

In November 2005 he announced his engagement to former Miss Northern Ireland Gayle Williamson. On May 10, 2006 Gayle gave birth to the couple's first child, a son named Brandon. Jim and Gayle had planned on getting married, but have separated.

Corr has aired his views on many subjects of contemporary political interest. On May 29, 2008 Corr appeared as a guest on The Last Word, the flagship current affairs program of Irish radio station Today FM.[2] During the interview, Corr went to great lengths to spell out his opposition to the Lisbon treaty, much of which centres on his contention that the sole purpose of the treaty is to hasten the formation of a New World Order, and his belief that the treaty is a framework on which will be based the eventual subjugation of all Irish people.

The Corrs, is formed by four brothers:
Sharon Corr - Violin and Choir
Jim Corr - Lyrics, Guitar and Choir
Caroline Corr - Drums, Bodhran, Piano and Choir
Andrea Corr - lead vocals and tin whistle

The great potential and innate abilities in music, family heritage comes from them because they are children of musicians. The four brothers grew up in Dundalk, County Louth (Ireland), where the border with Northern Ireland and imbued from childhood and throughout the music that permeated their home, were very clear that what they liked to do was music They loved the idea of being able to form a band to play songs with traditional Irish music blends folk, pop and Celtic music, and even a touch of modern rock.

Finally the band was formed in 1990, although his first album not edit it until five years after which it would be "Forgiven, Not Forgotten" (1995). While having formed the band met John Hughes, who was looking for musicians to participate in the film "The Commitments" (1991), directed by Alan Parker.

During a concert in a local Dublin, the U.S. Ambassador Ireland, Jean Kennedy Smith heard them and invited them to a performance in celebration of the World Cup, which was to take place in the city of Boston. The guys from "The Corrs" did not think for one moment, and agreed immediately to see the enthusiasm of the ambassador who had fallen surrendered to his music and also the great opportunity offered them be released in the U.S.. In Boston and swept with his performance as in Dublin, lit up another personality within society, this time would be the senior vice president of Atlantic Records, Jason Flom.

Jason, I recommended to David Foster, vice president and producer at Atlantic and told them to go talk to him.
By then, David was working with Michael Jackson in New York and the Irish quartet had enough problems to keep that chat with David. Finally, the last day of his stay in New York, "The Corrs" in the study were presented without an appointment and Foster saw them and reported that it was over with Michael. It would be that day, in which "The Corrs" finally for Foster would play live, and of course, he was impressed with what he heard, proposing to be his producer. Thus, The Corrs became an official group Dro Atlantic producer.

Since then, the four major Irish brothers recorded two albums: The first and previously discussed "Forgiven, Not Forgotten," which sold two million copies worldwide, being certified gold in Canada, France, Norway and Japan, also was eight times platinum in Ireland and Australia (unheard of in the latter), and double platinum in Spain, New Zealand and Denmark. Gained fame in record time and with just one work in the market.
His second solo album, Talk On Corners "in 1998, with whom he also obtained a great success and collecting items as well known as" Only When I Sleep "," Do not Say You Love Me "and" I Never Loved You Anyway ".
After his second album, released three papers in consecutive years: "The Corrs: Unplugged" (1999), "In Blue" (2000), "Best Of The Corrs" (2001).

In 2004 they released to the market "Borrowed Heaven", a new studio work, where his unmistakable style once again became a bestseller and a year later published "Home" (2005), a tribute to traditional Irish music and true hallmark of the group and the key to his massive success that has made them sell over 30 million albums worldwide and continue on the crest of the wave

The Corrs

This group consists of a generation of four brothers born in Dundalk, a small Irish town halfway between Dublin and Belfast, has its origins in the piano lessons they were taught by his father, Gerry Corr, part with his wife and mother of the four brothers, Jean Corr, formerly belonging to "Sound Affair. Versions made by friends from the Eagles and the Carpenters, contrayeron until marriage.

Curiously, one of their wedding gifts was an upright piano which became a toy over to Jim, the couple's first child. The Corrs was conceived by pressing the keys of that old piano, which also passed Sharon, Caroline and Andrea. When one brother was old enough to start piano lessons, the witness was relieved and, to continue their training, the other learned to play another instrument. Thus, the four brothers received their musical foundation and piano and,
later, Jim learned to play guitar, Sharon on violin, Caroline on bodhran (an Irish percussion instrument) and Andrea on tin whistle (a small flute, also of Irish origin).

The four brothers grew up with music and in 1990 decided to create their first songs in a rented house that Jim and transformed into a mini music studio thanks to an eight-track recorder. They used a long time to make their issues, but someone needed knowledge, and his opportunity came that year with the movie "The Commiments". They went to the audition and were selected to appear in a few seconds of the film, except Andrea, who played a somewhat more extensive. John Hughes, coordinator of the music of the film, fell in love with them and decided to become their manager. In 1992 got their first gig, with friends, family and entertainers and public. Gained experience by playing well around Dundalk and Dublin, and Caroline decided to learn to play the drums thanks to her boyfriend. In 1993 came his first professional; Jean Kennedy Smith, U.S. Ambassador in Ireland., was among the public and offered to play in a concert celebrating the football World Cup 1994 in Boston. They played the U.S. national anthem and so came to have an interview with David Foster, producer at Atlantic Records, the label very well-known Warner. They played some of his earliest hits, like "Runaway" or "Forgiven Not Forgotten", and "these three beautiful girls and that boy so handsome," said Foster, who dazzled both the next day were signing their first record.

In 1995 was released their first album, Forgiven Not Forgotten. His fusion of Irish folk music with pop and rock caused a great interest worldwide, with gold or platinum in 9 countries, including Spain, placing her singles "Runaway", "Forgiven Not Forgotten," "The Right Time" and "Love to Love You" at the top of the charts and having a great public reception on his tour. The successful outcome in general, but failed to conquer the big markets of the United States and Britain. The label wanted to conquer the two major markets, and that was one of the major objectives of Talk on Corners, his second work.
